Lawn Care

Taking good care of your lawn can also keep stubborn weeds at bay.

With healthy soil, fertilization and good watering practices, you create a healthy, dense lawn that won’t allow weeds to grow.

At T&R Weed and Pest, we use a selective weed & feed mix which kills broadleaf weeds, and fertilizes your lawn as well.

Giving your lawn enough water without overwatering and cutting about a third of each blade off when mowing can help your grass stay healthy and prevent weeds from taking over. When it comes to weed control, an ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure.

At T&R Weed and Pest, we are proud to offer weed and feed, fertilization, grub control, product consultation, and sales of lawn care products.

Tips for caring for your Lawn

1. Fertilize and Feed - Fertilizers and lawn feed help to green your lawn as well as feed the soil. They aid in moisture retention which helps your lawn use less water while maintaining consistent growth and developing strong roots.

2. Water Properly - A typical lawn needs about 1 inch of water per week. The healthiest grass prefers deep and infrequent watering.

This promotes stronger root development, reduces disease, and improves air movement around root structure.

3. Mow Correctly -  When mowing your lawn, no more than 1/3 of your grass surface should be removed. Taller grass shades soil, and helps eliminate excess evaporation.

4. Pest Control - It is always important to remember to treat your lawn for pests. Proper control will keep your lawn area safe from infestation, and will allow you and your family to enjoy your lawn!
